Ethiopia’s fuel crisis is deepening as the US–Israeli imposed war on Iran disrupts gas supplies in the African country.
As the second most populous nation on the continent, Ethiopia relies heavily on West Asia for more than half of its fuel consumption.
Residents in Addis Ababa say the crisis has forced the prices of essential commodities to rise sharply—by nearly 40 percent—making their daily life very difficult.
