Araghchi: Israeli terror assassinations collapse against Iran’s iron unity and coordinated resistance

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that the Israeli regime’s repeated terrorist assassinations have completely failed, instead revealing the unbreakable unity, purpose, and iron discipline of the Islamic Republic’s state institutions.

In his statement on X on Thursday, Araghchi made it crystal clear that Israel’s criminal campaign of assassinations and sabotage has achieved the exact opposite of its intended goal.

“The failure of Israel's terrorist killings is reflected in how Iran's state institutions continue to act with unity, purpose, and discipline,” Araghchi stated.

Far from weakening the Islamic Republic, the desperate and cowardly acts by the apartheid entity have only reinforced the coordination between Iran’s defensive frontlines and its diplomatic efforts.

The top Iranian diplomat described the battlefield and diplomacy as “fully coordinated fronts in the same war,” underscoring that every response, whether military, scientific, or political, is part of a single, unified strategy to defend Iran’s sovereignty and support the axis of resistance against Zionist aggression.

“Iranians are all united, more than ever before,” Araghchi noted, highlighting a national resolve that has grown even stronger in the face of external threats, sanctions, and provocations.

From the highest levels of leadership under the guidance of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei to every institution across the country, Iran continues to advance its scientific achievements, strengthen its defensive capabilities, and expand its regional influence despite the Israeli regime’s repeated attempts to sow discord through targeted killings and false-flag operations.

Israel’s reliance on terrorism reveals its strategic bankruptcy. Unable to challenge Iran through conventional means or on the battlefield, the Zionist regime resorts to assassinations -- criminal acts universally condemned as violations of international law and basic human decency.

Yet each such crime has only served to steel the Iranian nation’s determination, accelerating its march toward full self-reliance and greater strategic depth.

Earlier on Thursday, the three heads of Iran's executive, legislative, and judicial branches issued a collective response to US President Donald Trump, denouncing his remarks about “divisions between extremists and moderates” in Iran as unwarranted provocations.

President Masoud Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, and Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei conveyed a powerful message to Trump, emphasizing a common theme of national unity and defiance.

On February 28, the United States and Israel initiated a large-scale and unprovoked war against Iran, assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking military commanders.

In response, Iranian Armed Forces carried out a series of retaliatory missile and drone operations against US and Israeli military assets for over 40 days, which resulted in significant damage.

A two-week ceasefire was brokered on April 8, followed by negotiations in Islamabad, where Iran proposed a ten-point plan seeking US troops' withdrawal and the lifting of sanctions.

Despite 21 hours of intensive discussions, the negotiations ended without an agreement, with Iran citing a lack of trust in US commitments.
