Three children among fatalities in fresh Israeli strike on northern Gaza

‎‎At least five people, including three children  were killed in the northern side of the war-ravaged Gaza Strip after an Israeli airstrike struck a group of civilians.

‎Gaza's civil defense agency announced in a statement on Wednesday that the Israeli aerial attack targeted several individuals near al-Qassam Mosque in the city of Beit Lahia. It added that their bodies were taken to al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

‎The agency, however, did not provide any information on how old the children were.

‎The Gaza Health Ministry announced that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 72,562 people amid ongoing Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023.

‎Since the announcement of a ceasefire on October 11, 2025, at least 786 people have been killed and 2,217 injured, the ministry said.

These figures, combined with earlier records from the genocide that began on October 7, 2023, bring the total number of injured individuals to 172,320.

‎Humanitarian conditions in Gaza continue to deteriorate, with shortages of basic supplies and ongoing disruptions to essential services, local authorities reported.

‎The Government Media Office in Gaza stated that over the past six months, ceasefire violations by Israel have been documented more than 2,400 times, including incidents of shelling, gunfire, raids, and property damage.
