Pezeshkian praises Army for defending Iran’s territorial integrity during war 

President Masoud Pezeshkian says the Iranian Army is firmly determined to continue its path to defend Iran’s territorial integrity and the Islamic Revolution.

In a message on the occasion of National Army Day on Saturday, Pezeshkian said the Iranian Army is a people-centered force and a symbol of national dignity, strength, and independence, which plays a unique role in safeguarding the country’s peace and security.

He added that the Army undoubtedly remains a firm support for the nation and an impenetrable fortress in the face of the enemies.

“By preserving its revolutionary spirit and relying on indigenous capabilities, it will continue its proud path with strength and determination in defending the homeland and the lofty ideals of the Islamic Revolution,” he emphasized.

Alongside other branches of the Armed Forces, Pezeshkian noted, the Army has been a firm pillar of national security and demonstrates enduring patriotism and responsibility by relying on its faith, revolutionary spirit, discipline, and expertise.

Pointing to the current aggression and pressure from enemies, particularly the hostile actions of the United States and the Israeli regime, he said the Army, along with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and other armed forces, has displayed a clear image of synergy, preparedness, and sacrifice through its intelligent, powerful, and coordinated presence.

Several high-ranking Iranian officials have congratulated Iran’s Army commanders and personnel on Army Day.

The president reiterated that Iran’s Army has proved with firmness that “it will not hesitate for a moment” in defending the country’s security, dignity, and independence and in safeguarding the Islamic and Iranian identity of this land.

He hailed the Army’s proud presence in defensive arenas, especially in the recent US-Israeli imposed war, which is a clear symbol of its steadfastness, courage, and spirit of sacrifice in defending the country.

“Its non-stop resistance and decisive response to enemies once again illustrated that the Army and the IRGC are two powerful arms of national strength,” Pezeshkian added.

Backed by the great Iranian people, the Army will defend their rights and the country’s territorial integrity, he emphasized.

He noted that the Army has played an “effective and determining” role in the most difficult arenas and has stood powerfully against any aggression or excessive demands by enemies, forming a strong barrier against threats.

He also added that in addition to its strategic role, the Army has always been active in making relief and assistance efforts during natural events with sincerity and hope.

The United States and Israel launched their unprovoked war of aggression against Iran on February 28. They assassinated Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and struck nuclear sites, schools, hospitals and civilian infrastructure.

Iran’s Armed Forces responded with 100 waves of retaliatory strikes under Operation True Promise 4, launching hundreds of ballistic and hypersonic missiles, as well as drones, against American military bases across West Asia and Israeli positions throughout the occupied territories.
