Iran arrests separatist terror ringleader linked to Israel

Iran’s Intelligence Ministry has announced major counterterrorism operations and arrests across several provinces, arresting a separatist terrorist group ringleader connected to Israel.

According to an official statement on Wednesday, a senior commander of an Israeli-linked separatist terrorist group, responsible for several assassinations and bombings in cities across Khuzestan Province, was identified and arrested by intelligence officers in Khuzestan and Isfahan provinces, with cooperation from the national police.

The ministry further reported that 11 members of the same terrorist organization had been arrested over the past two months, while five additional militants were killed during armed clashes with security forces.

In another operation, two weapon trafficking cells from Iraq’s Kurdistan region were intercepted while entering Iran to conduct attacks in Khuzestan and Kermanshah Provinces.

Intelligence units tracking their movement successfully identified all recipients of the weapons, leading to their capture along with 42 firearms.

Additionally, four terrorist cells affiliated with American-Israeli intelligence networks were uncovered and dismantled in Gilan, Kerman, Hamadan, and Hormozgan provinces by the ministry’s agents.

These groups were found to possess firearms, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and surveillance equipment, and 10 individuals were arrested.

The statement also revealed that 20 operatives linked to the media arm of the Israeli regime and the anti-Iran “Iran International” network were detained in Hormozgan, Hamedan, and Kerman for assisting propaganda and psychological operations against Iran.
