At least 14 women and children among 26 killed in US-Israeli strikes on residential areas in Isfahan

US-Israeli airstrikes on residential areas in Isfahan have killed at least 26 civilians, including 14 women and children.

Akbar Salehi, an official with the Isfahan provincial security department, said on Friday that the strikes targeting residential areas on Thursday caused the casualties.

Salehi confirmed that the victims included seven women and seven children.

A series of airstrikes also targeted residential buildings in the districts of Ziyar and Apadana early Friday morning, Salehi added. Several civilians were injured.

Isfahan stands as one of many strategic provinces across Iran’s central, southern, and western regions that have come under attack since the United States and Israel initiated their unprovoked military aggression against Iran on February 28.

Over the past 27 day, both military installations and civilian facilities have been attacked throughout the country, leading to considerable loss of life and widespread damage to infrastructure.

More than 600 schools have been destroyed or damaged across Iran and more than 1,000 students and teachers martyred or wounded as a result.

Among the most tragic losses are over 181 schoolchildren and teachers in the southern city of Minab.

The school massacre occurred on the first day of the unprovoked war on Iran, when a US military attack using Tomahawk missiles struck Shajare Tayyebe Elementary school in the city of Minab, south of Iran.

In his address to the UN Human Rights Council on Friday, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi characterized the massacre as “the tip of the iceberg” of the systematic war crimes committed with audacity and impunity by the United States and the Israeli regime.

Iran’s response to the United States and Israel aggression, however, has been decisive and precise.

The country’s armed forces have so far carried out 83 waves of Operation True Promise 4, targeting Israeli military and strategic sites as well as US military bases across the region with missiles and drones, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.
