Houthi: Yemen ready with all options in solidarity with Iran

Yemeni leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi has vowed that his country stands ready with all options and will use every means at its disposal to confront the ongoing unprovoked and reckless US-Israeli aggression against Iran.

In a speech delivered on Thursday, al-Houthi said that “Yemen cannot remain neutral or silent and will do everything to confront the Zionist project in the West Asia region.”

“Iran was the only country which fully supported the Yemenis against the repeated US and Israeli aggressions,” he added.

He further emphasized that “the Yemeni stance against the US and Israel is clear and transparent and is not directed against any Muslim nation.”

“We have no hostile intentions against any Islamic country.”

Houthi further emphasized that the ongoing US-Israeli aggression against Iran was “illegitimate and has no justification.”

The US and Israel are seeking to change and alter the map of West Asia in order to implement their vicious plot of the so-called “Greater Israel,” the Yemeni leader said.

Houthi went on to say that Israeli plots were also directed against all Arab states of the Persian Gulf region.

“Nothing good will come out of helping the Israeli enemy.”

Some Arab states, which fell short of condemning the US-Israeli aggression, have objected to Iran’s legitimate response and its retaliatory attacks against US bases in the region, the Yemeni leader said.

“It is unfortunate and a source of sorrow that some regional states have economically and militarily facilitated the US and Israeli aggression,” Houthi said.

Houthi voiced his anger against some media outlets of the Arab regimes which direct insults against the ‘Axis of Resistance’ despite the relentless brutal Israeli aggression against Palestinians in Gaza and elsewhere across the region.

He strongly denounced certain regimes and outlets which deny Hezbollah’s right to self-defense and to defend Lebanon against Israeli aggression.

Houthi concluded by saying that the administration of US President Donald Trump launched the aggression against Iran to protect Israeli interests and was not concerned at all about the rising energy prices and food inflation worldwide.

The remarks come as Yemen’s Ansarullah movement says it stands ready to strike key US and Israeli vessels in the Red Sea in solidarity with Tehran.

“We stand fully militarily ready with all options. As for other details having to do with determining zero hour, they are left to the leadership. We are monitoring and following up on the developments and will know when the suitable time is to move,” an Ansarullah leader recently said.

“Until now, Iran has been doing well and is defeating the enemy every day and the battle is going in its favor. If anything contrary to this happens, then we can reassess.”

Some media reports indicate that Iran could open a new front in the Bab al-Mandab Strait if attacks are carried out on Iranian territory or its islands.

The US and Israel launched an unprovoked act of aggression against Iran on February 28, targeting sites across the country, including civilian areas such as schools, hospitals, and sports halls.

United Nations experts have recently strongly denounced the ongoing US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran as flagrant violations of international law.
