Iran will emerge victorious in war with US, Israel: Belarusian president

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko says Iran will courageously overcome the ongoing challenges amid the unprovoked US-Israeli war against the Islamic Republic, which started late last month.

Lukashenko made the remark in a message to Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday, extending his congratulations to him and the Iranian nation over the Persian New Year, known as Nowruz.

According to Iran’s embassy in Belarus, Lukashenko described the ancient Nowruz festivity as the symbol of renewal, re-building and an inseparable bond among generations.

He said Nowruz encourages people to move in the path of understanding and mutual respect.

He emphasized that Iran continues to courageously struggle against difficult external challenges at the New Year.

The Belarusian president expressed confidence that the wise people of Iran, relying on their centuries-old experience, will overcome all difficulties and preserve their right to continue the path of independence and sovereignty.

He further added that Tehran and Minsk are developing relations in an atmosphere of sincere friendship, trust, and mutual support.

Lukashenko said his country values its reliable and constructive cooperation with Iran, which is based on common interests and efforts to promote stability and prosperity.

The US and Israel started a fresh round of unlawful military aggression on Iran on February 28, some eight months after they carried out unprovoked attacks on the country.

Iran began to swiftly retaliate against the strikes by launching barrages of missile and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on US bases in regional countries.
