Iran says enemy should await ‘painful retaliation’ after hitting bank

Spokesman for Iran's Khatam al Anbiya headquarters Lieutenant-colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari

An Iranian military official says following the US-Israeli attack to one of the country’s banks, the enemies should await Iran’s painful retaliation.

Lieutenant-Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for Khatam al Anbiya headquarters said Wednesday that with this unlawful and unconventional act in warfare, “the enemy has opened the door for us to target economic centers and banks affiliated with the US and Israel in the region.”

“The Americans must wait for our retaliatory and painful action,” he said. He also urged Iranians not to be present within a one-kilometer radius of the banks.

Meanwhile, The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) released details of the 37th phase of Operation True Promise 4, which was carried out on Tuesday night with over 3 hours of missile firing.

The statement said it utilized “the maximum types of heavy missiles – ‘Khorramshahr’ – in multiple layers and continuously, attacks were launched against American bases and the Israeli regime.”

During this devastating assault, the Israeli regime’s Ha’ela satellite communication center, located south of Tel Aviv was targeted for the second time, alongside military centers in Beer Yaqub, West Al-Quds, and Haifa, as well as extensive targets of the US in Erbil, and the Fifth Naval Base in the region.

Major General Abolfazl Shekarchi, the spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces, said in an interview with the national television that the US and Israel must await Iran’s lethal strikes against the heinous crimes committed in Tehran.

“Due to the desperation of the American army and the Zionist regime, which are unable to withstand Iran’s armed forces and suffer heavy losses daily under our relentless attacks, they target innocent women and children, causing bloodshed. They must expect devastating and lethal strikes from Iran in response to the attack on residential buildings,” he added.

He emphasized that the recent attacks will be swiftly retaliated against, and devastating strikes will be delivered to their core. He also urged residents of the region’s Muslim communities to reveal the locations of American forces, ensuring their safety while preventing them from serving as a shield for the invading US army, allowing Iran to more effectively neutralize the threat in the area.

On Wednesday, Rahaman Jalali, the Security and Police Deputy Governor of Kerman province, announced that an invading drone entered Kerman’s airspace and was immediately detected and targeted by defensive systems before being downed.

He emphasized that conditions in the province are fully under control and this action was taken to safeguard the country’s airspace.

Two decommissioned aircraft in Kerman were also hit by enemy missiles yesterday.

Leaked videos from Tel Aviv have revealed part of the damage resulting from Iranian missile attacks, capturing attention on social media despite strict wartime censorship in Israel.

A BBC correspondent in the occupied territories previously stated that Iran’s hypersonic missiles are reaching Israel.

“We see them, but details about casualties aren’t being disclosed,” he said.

Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronot reported today that Iran has increased its missile attacks on the Palestinian Territories over the past 24 hours.

Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Johann Wadephul who traveled yesterday to the occupied territories, after a warning siren and an Iranian missile attack, was forced to go to a bunker.

The trip of Johann Wadephul to Israeli territories was for unspecified security reasons. This politician from the Christian Democratic Union is the first Foreign Minister of the European Union to travel since the US-Israeli aggression against Iran started.

German daily Die Zeit said “due to the worsening security situation, Wadephul did not normally fly with an air transport plane from the German Air Force, but instead took off on a military transport plane.”
