IRGC drone, missile strikes target US Al‑Udairi helicopter base in Kuwait

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says its navy forces carried out a combined drone and ballistic‑missile operation against the US Al‑Udairi helicopter base in Kuwait.

In a statement released on Sunday, the IRGC said the strike precisely hit helicopter maintenance and refueling facilities, fuel depots, aircraft, and the base command building, causing severe damage.

“Following this wave of attack, a massive fire erupted at the base, and thick, black smoke still rises from it, visible for miles,” it added.

On February 28, the United States and the Israeli regime started their unprovoked military assault on Iran, assassinating the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and top Iranian military commanders.

Iran began to swiftly retaliate against the criminal aggression by launching barrages of missiles and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on the US bases in regional countries.

Iran has repeatedly emphasized that it only targets American positions and bases in the region and does not seek conflict with Arab countries.
