Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf says the continuation of the ongoing US-Israeli aggression against Iran will not only choke off any chances for the sales and production of crude oil, but will also set ablaze US interests as well as those of the West Asia region and the entire world.
“Trump, who once used to assert that oil prices won’t soar, is now claiming they will quickly rebound following their surge,” Qalibaf wrote in a post published on his X account on Sunday.
He added, “If the war goes on, there will neither be any chances for the crude oil sales and production. Beside US interests, those of the region and the whole world will be burnt at the cost of Netanyahu’s delusions.”
The joint US-Israeli aggression against Iran, which was launched on February 28 with the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and a number of senior military commanders, constitutes a flagrant violation of Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The offensive has also killed more than 1,200 civilians, including neatly 200 children, and attacked non-military sites like schools and hospitals.
Within the framework of their legitimate response, Iranian Armed Forces immediately launched forceful missile and drone strikes against US interests in the region and Israeli assets in the occupied territories.
