Hezbollah has offered condolences to the Iranian nation and paid tribute to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who was martyred by the United States and the Israeli regime in a cowardly strike on his office in Tehran.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Lebanese resistance movement mourned the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei and applauded the Leader for making the Islamic Republic “a powerful, dignified, victorious state, which achieved strength in all fields of science, action, jihad (struggle on the path of God), and resistance."

"To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return," it said in the beginning of its statement.

"His Eminence the Leader, the righteous servant, the Leader of the nation and its inspirer, Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has risen to the mercy of his Lord, to be one of the greatest martyred leaders of the nation throughout its history full of martyrdom,” the statement read.

Hezbollah called Ayatollah Khamenei “the possessor of penetrating insight and profound wisdom,” who joined “the blessed luminous caravan in the divine path."

The resistance movement said the Leader "has dismounted from the steed of his struggle after a long and blessed life spent in the service of the oppressed and downtrodden on the fronts of truth against falsehood in various parts of the world."

It noted how the Palestinian cause of liberation from Israeli occupation and aggression would serve as the "central cause" for which Ayatollah Khamenei sacrificed everything precious and valuable.

The resistance group denounced the perpetrators of the atrocity leading to the Leader's martyrdom as "the most wretched of this era," and said it had been appalled at their committing it during the holy month of Ramadan.

Among others, it extended its condolences to the Iranian nation and government, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the global Muslim nation, subscribers to the school of resistance, and the free and oppressed people of the world.

Hezbollah noted that Ayatollah Khamenei had attained the highest divine accolades through his lifelong struggle against those waging war on truth, religion, and humanity.

It also condoled with the Islamic Republic over the martyrdom of others targeted during Tel Aviv's and Washington's latest bout of unprovoked aggression against the country.

Hezbollah reaffirmed its firm and eternal pledge to the martyred Leader and the movement's former secretary-general Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah to resolutely continue its path of resistance.

As before, it stated, the movement would stand in support of the Islamic Republic "in all challenges and calamities, to defeat the arrogant and the aggressive tyrants until full and final victory is achieved."

Ayatollah Khamanei's martyrdom took place on Saturday, the first day of the Israeli-American aggression that has also claimed the lives of hundreds of other Iranians, including more than 100 children, who perished during a strike on a school in southern Iran.

The atrocities have prompted at least eight waves of decisive retaliatory strikes on numerous hostile targets throughout the region.
