Young Iranian robotics specialists celebrate winning gold at IWISE Global Final 2026
Young Iranian robotics specialists have celebrated bringing home a gold medal following a first-place finish at the International World Innovative Student Expo (IWISE) Global Final 2026 in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and genuflected to the national Iranian flag in the prestigious event.
The talented students, known as Team Melli, created a memorable scene after emerging in the top slot in the competition, which brought together over 400 brilliant youths from around the globe.
In a video circulated on social media platforms, members of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s national robotics team can be seen spreading the tricolor Iranian flag on the stage, and prostrating themselves to it as a sign of gratitude and respect for the homeland.

They did so immediately after receiving the gold medal, and amidst the enthusiastic applause of the audience.
The symbolic gesture, which was performed in the presence of international competitors, had a wide resonance in the competition hall, and demonstrated the deep bond between the scientific expertise and national spirit of the young Iranian robotics specialists.
The IWISE Global Final 2026 started in Dubai on February 14, and concluded on February 16.
