EU lawmakers accuse ICE of using fear, repression, and illegal detention

Trump's immigration policy in America is run using fear of brutal repression, murder, kidnapping, child abduction, and illegal detention.

That's what a number of EU lawmakers claimed during a debate in the European Parliament focusing on the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, better known as ICE.

How many Russians were killed by the so-called Bad Putin? None!

But America can do that. America can attack Venezuela and kidnap the president. America can send weapons to kill women and children in Gaza.

America can starve Cuba, bomb Iran, threaten Canada, and take Greenland; and you all remain silent.

Lubos Blaha, Slovakian MEP

Under the guise of cracking down on illegal immigrants, American ICE agents have been given a license to kill innocent civilians with impunity. It is claimed that EU leaders have been urged to rethink their close alignment with Washington.

This is a morally bankrupt regime with leaders involved in a pedophile ring led by Jeffrey Epstein.

You have to start working for EU citizens instead of servicing a corrupt and rotten regime.

Danilo Della Valle, Italian MEP

Lawmakers have expressed concern that extreme right, Trumpist ideology is spreading across the EU. It's clearly a concern for citizens, as well.

We have to be more independent. We have to be more EU.

It is a widely held view that the US is no longer trustworthy under President Donald J Trump.

We come from Italy, and we were also concerned about the presence of ice at the Olympics.

We could not understand what would bring America to bring such powerful forces into our own country.

Beyond the shocking developments in the United States, some MEPs say policing practices closer to home deserve scrutiny.

We should also look at police brutality across Europe.

People protesting against genocide, brutally beaten by German police, and I am sorry to say it, acting like Nazis.

Luke Ming Flanagan, Irish MEP

Once again, the European Union's foreign policy is being criticized as inconsistent and driven by double standards.

For example, independent analysts say recent peaceful protests in Iran were hijacked and engineered into deadly riots by Israeli and US operatives.

In response, the EU quickly imposed new sanctions against Tehran!

While EU governments have made it clear that there are absolutely no plans to take similar steps against Washington despite its blatant human rights violations.
