EU’s IRGC listing shows elite force effective in foiling Israeli plots: Yemen

The deputy foreign minister of Yemen’s Government of Change and Construction has strongly condemned the European Union Council’s decision to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, saying the move shows the elite force’s effectiveness in thwarting Israeli plots in West Asia.

“The decision, adopted by Western arrogant powers, imperialist United States and the Zionist regime, against the IRGC clearly exhibits how effectively the force has managed to foil Israeli plots in the region,” Abdulwahid Abu Ras said on Friday.

He praised the steadfastness and resilience of Iran in the face of Western threats, stressing that the Islamic Republic in general and the IRGC in particular are “indomitable and unbreakable.”

He emphasized that enemies are comparatively not strong enough to harm such steadfastness or break the willpower of the Iranian nation.

“Arrogant Western powers wish for weak and feeble Arab and Muslim nations in order to exploit them as a tool, and advance their wicked agendas in the region,” Abu Ras stated.

The high-ranking Yemeni official underscored that any military aggression by the United States under President Donald Trump against Iran would inevitably end in “failure and loss.”

The European Union's foreign ministers, in a hostile action on Thursday, announced their agreement to place the IRGC on the list of so-called terrorist organizations of the 27-member political and economic bloc.

Iran views this step as a clear instance of political hostility.

Tehran has repeatedly highlighted the IRGC's decisive contribution to defeating terrorism in the region.
