Galloway in Malaysia: Britain complicit in Israeli crimes in Palestine

Dozens of countries are expected to give evidence across five days of hearings at the ICJ on Israeli duty of care to allow aid into Gaza. 28 April 2025 (AP)

British broadcaster, politician and author, George Galloway, in a lecture at a Malaysian University in the capital Kuala Lumpur, reminded the audience that it was, in fact, the British that created the Palestine issue.

The entire tragedy of the Palestinian people was authored in London.

Mr Balfour, on behalf of one people, promised to a second people, the land which belonged to a third people.

Galloway says even today as the devastation continues in Gaza, with tens of thousands killed and much of the territory reduced to rubble, Britain is very much involved.

Britain is complicit in crimes all over the world, including against Iran and including this week and the week before it, and no doubt the week after it.

So it should come as no surprise that British Imperialism is doing The Devil’s work everywhere and the Devil has been nowhere more active of late than in Gaza, where perhaps a million people, most of them children, and the greatest number of them being infant children under the age of 5 and these targets were identified by British Royal Air Force warplanes flying out of the British airbase in Akrotiri in Cyprus.

He says that the ongoing genocide in Gaza is sustained by more than just the military forces committing atrocities on the ground.

The evil of the British government, whose Prime Minister Keir Starmer told us clearly that without qualification he was a Zionist, well, the people are now judging him on the success of that and that is why he is the most hated prime minister in the history of Britain.

Critics say Britain has done more than conduct surveillance flights; they point to moves to oppress anti-genocide activism through restrictive legislation as well as pressure and threats against prosecutors at the International Criminal Court.

Britain is insisting that it is not a party to the US-Israeli crimes in Gaza but its actions that stand on public record indicate otherwise.
