Pakistan rejects India’s claim on Indus Waters Treaty status

Water tensions between Pakistan and India have resurfaced following renewed disagreements over the Indus Waters Treaty.

That’s a decades-old agreement which governs how the two sides use their shared water resources. The dispute has led to an exchange of strong statements between the two countries over water flows.
