Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has described the accelerated implementation of joint cooperation agreements as the “primary priority” in Tehran-Moscow relations.

The Iranian president said the strategic depth of the partnership requires continuous communication and rigorous monitoring of joint projects.

Pezeshkian made the remarks during a telephone conversation on Tuesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which the two leaders conducted a comprehensive review of bilateral ties.

The discussion focused specifically on the progress of projects in the sectors of transport, transit, energy, and power generation.

President Pezeshkian characterized the recent meeting between the two leaders in Turkmenistan’s capital, Ashgabat, as “highly constructive and positive.”

He said the operationalization of agreements across all fields must be fast-tracked to reflect the unified will of both nations.

Pezeshkian noted that the execution of joint projects and the continuity of high-level contacts are vital for shared interests.

Putin rejects US-Israeli threats

President Putin expressed satisfaction with the robust and strategic nature of the alliance, highlighting the significant economic milestone that bilateral trade grew by 10 percent in the first ten months of the current year.

“We are pursuing every single agreement and joint project with seriousness and in full coordination with one another,” Putin stated, reaffirming Moscow’s commitment to the comprehensive development of ties.

The Russian leader also addressed Monday’s remarks by US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who threatened Iran with fresh acts of aggression.

He described the statements as “regrettable, rejected, and condemned.”
