Iran to host crucial mediation as Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions escalate

Iran is set to host a high-stakes mediation meeting between Pakistan and Afghanistan’s Taliban government next week in Tehran, in what analysts call the most ambitious diplomatic push yet to calm rising tensions.
This initiative follows earlier, unsuccessful efforts by Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia to bridge the gap between Islamabad and Kabul.
