Despite heightened US and Israeli pressure on Lebanon, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naeem Qassem says the resistance will not give up its defensive capability. In a televised speech Friday, he emphasized that Hezbollah has no regard for US and Israeli dictates.

The Hezbollah chief said Israel’s aggressions have nothing to do with Hezbollah’s weapons. Rather, the regime seeks to lay the groundwork for the gradual occupation of Lebanon and push for its so-called Greater Israel project.

Sheikh Qassem warned that if Lebanon concedes, the US-Israeli conditions will not be limited to the issue of arms.
