New Israeli law to open West Bank to settler ownership

A new Israeli draft law has sparked concern among Palestinians and legal experts, who warn that it represents one of the most dangerous steps toward the formal annexation of the occupied West Bank.

The legislation would allow Israeli settlers - and foreign Jews - to legally purchase land in the West Bank for the first time, by cancelling a 1953 Jordanian law that has, until now, prohibited foreign ownership. Our correspondent Naqaa hamed has more.
