Anti‑genocide demonstrators flood Birmingham to oppose Israeli team’s match

Thousands of anti-genocide demonstrators have descended on the British city of Birmingham to oppose a soccer match between the UK’s Aston Villa and the Israeli regime’s Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The match comes a month after local police banned Maccabi fans from attending the fixture fearing a repeat of the violence and hate crimes committed by them in Amsterdam last season, when the Israeli team played Ajax.
