Iran, Iraq reaffirm strengthening ties amid regional tensions

Iran’s top security official Ali Larijani hosted his Iraqi counterpart Qasim al-Araji on Monday for high-level talks. Discussions covered a range of issues, including the strategic relations between the two neighbors.
Both officials condemned the use of Iraqi territory by Israel and the United States during the twelve-day war of aggression against Iran in June. They also emphasized the importance of border security and regional stability.
