The will penned by a prominent Palestinian journalist, who was assassinated recently by an Israeli-backed gang, has surfaced, revealing how he eagerly anticipated martyrdom in his mission to convey his people’s suffering.
Palestinian media outlets published the will belonging to Saleh al-Ja'frawi, also a social media personality, on Tuesday.
As part of the will, the victim made a point of echoing similar words written by Anas al-Sharif and his other dedicated colleagues in their own final testaments.

“Make my blood a light that illuminates the path of freedom for my people,” Ja'frawi wrote, almost precisely repeating Sharif’s final words.
The victim described his pending martyrdom as not a farewell, but continuation of his chosen path, one of conviction, sacrifice, and devotion to the cause of his people in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian officials have identified those behind the journalist’s targeted killing as a Tel Aviv-supported outfit affiliated with the Daghmash family.

In June, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, himself, admitted that the regime had been arming and supporting such militants to "counter the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas."
Ja'frawi declared that he gave all his strength to be a “support and a voice” for his people, enduring pain, oppression, and the loss of loved ones, yet never ceasing to “convey the truth as it is.”
The journalist identified the truth as an undying proof always serving those who stood by Gaza, but working invariably against those who adopted silence.
Before making the ultimate sacrifice, Ja'frawi would confide in his friends about his facing “threats and false accusations.”
Also on Tuesday, Sara Segneri, a London-based international criminal law and human rights lawyer, announced that she and her colleagues had filed complaints and demands for investigations into the murder by multiple United Nations investigative bodies and special rapporteurs, as well as the International Criminal Court.

Ja'frawi is among the hundreds-strong journalists, who perished alongside more than 67,500 other Palestinians as a result of an Israeli war of genocide that Tel Aviv had launched against Gaza on October 7, 2023.
