Pakistan hosts ceremony to honor Persian poet Hafez Shirazi

October 12th is celebrated as Hafez Day in Iran, honoring the great Persian poet whose works convey messages of love and unity. On Monday, scholars, poets, and intellectuals from across Pakistan also gathered to commemorate the occasion.
They believe that the message in Hafez’s poetry carries even deeper meaning today, as the world witnesses the ongoing tragedy in Gaza.
