Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Santiago on Saturday to join the Night March, organized by Action for Palestine in solidarity with the people of Gaza.
Footage filmed on Saturday evening shows protesters waving Palestinian flags, wearing keffiyehs, and carrying cardboard coffins with photographs of children and journalists killed in Palestine.
The night march in support of Palestine coincided with similar demonstrations in Argentina, where hundreds gathered to demand an end to the violence in Gaza, express solidarity with the Palestinian people, and oppose a possible visit by Netanyahu.
Chile has the largest Palestinian community outside the Arab world, with between 400,000 and 500,000 people.
They have established themselves in sectors such as commerce, textiles, and finance, while preserving a strong cultural and political identity through institutions like the Palestino Sports Club and the Palestinian Federation of Chile, serving as a bridge between Chile and the Arab world.
