At least two people were killed when an Israeli attack targeted an ambulance in northwestern Iran, the Red Crescent Society reported.

The attack happened in the province of Western Azerbaijan on Saturday, the second day of fierce exchanges of fire between Israel and Iran.

No additional details about the strike were immediately available.

The Israeli regime launched an attack against Iran early on Friday, targeting the top military brass and multiple military, nuclear, and civilian sites across Tehran and other cities.

The unprovoked act of aggression, which came amid talks between Tehran and Washington over Iran’s nuclear program, sparked a massive retaliatory missile strike from Iran, sending millions of Israeli settlers into bomb shelters.

The Israeli regime said Saturday it would escalate the strikes tonight, and Iranian authorities pledged a more crushing attack in response.
