Israeli war crimes in Gaza

Neither the United States, nor the Israeli regime are parties to the International Criminal Court’s Rome Statute of 1998. The statute has established genocide as a major international crime, along with war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the crime of aggression.

The ICC can prosecute individuals, but not states or organizations, for these four types of crimes. Now, there is a possibility that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other members of his cabinet may be issued arrest warrants by the ICC very soon.

This edition of the Spotlight program is about all-out efforts made by the US and Israel to prevent the ICC from issuing arrest warrants against Netanyahu and his cabinet.
