The Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement has launched fresh retaliatory strikes on Israeli military sites in the north of the occupied territories in support of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip, which has been under the regime’s relentless bombardment campaign over the past months.

Hezbollah said in separate statements on Wednesday that the retaliatory attacks had targeted the Israeli occupation bases and the gathering of their forces with “missile weapons” in the morning.

“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon targeted at 08:50 a.m. ... Wednesday the al-Raheb site and a gathering of enemy soldiers in its vicinity with missile weapons,” the Lebanese resistance movement said.

The statement also said the Hezbollah fighters had targeted with missiles a “new secret command post behind the Branit Barracks.”

Lebanon's Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television news channel confirmed the reports of Hezbollah's attacks on Israeli bases.

Earlier in the day, a correspondent of Qatar-headquartered Al Jazeera television network in Lebanon reported that six missiles were fired towards Israeli positions in the Upper Galilee region, opposite the town of Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon.

Israeli media reported that sirens sounded in a number of illegal settlements in the north and at least five missiles were monitored in that direction.

On Tuesday, Hezbollah fighters carried out a number of operations against Israeli targets across from the border with the occupied territories "with appropriate weapons, achieving a direct hit."

Israel unleashed its war on Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas conducted Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the usurping entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

The regime has also been conducting air raids on Lebanese soil from time to time since then with the aim of expanding the scale of the conflict, prompting Hezbollah to respond decisively to the aggression.

The Tel Aviv regime has imposed a “complete siege” on the Gaza Strip, cutting off fuel, electricity, food and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.

Since the start of the offensive, the Tel Aviv regime has killed 32,916 Palestinians and injured 75,494 others.
