Hamas: Biden ceasefire optimism ‘premature’
US President Joe Biden has faced a barrage of criticism over his claim that a Gaza ceasefire is imminent.
A leaked draft proposal prompted the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas to issue a statement, calling Biden’s remarks premature.
It said the proposal failed to compromise any of the Palestinians’ demands including a permanent ceasefire.
