False dawn

The clock is ticking on a fragile, temporary truce. After a delay of some 24 hours without any real public explanation by the occupation entity, there has been a release of captives and at least for a few blessed hours or days a pause in the bombardment of Palestinians living in Gaza.

The death toll is already unimaginable. Yet this is possibly the calm before the storm as Israel pledges a resumption of hostilities, with over 15,000 already confirmed dead.

The temporary pause may be an opportunity for thousands of Palestinian families to check on the status of their loved ones, to check on the homes they may have left behind, any livestock etc.

Awaiting the majority may well be misery heaped upon existing misery. But the world has not forgotten Palestine and it hasn't forgotten Gaza.
