Is there a new war brewing in the Caucasus region as the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to build up its forces on the border with Armenia?

In 2020, Azerbaijan fought another war against Armenia, which ended in its victory. Russia brokered subsequent peace talks and an agreement was reached between the two sides. This is the region over which several wars have been fought by the two countries. It is inside Azerbaijan, but the people living there are ethnically Armenian.

This edition of the Spotlight program is about the recent flare-up between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The program discusses the reasons behind the latest outbreak of tensions between the two neighboring countries over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region and the Azeri blockade of the Lachin corridor.
