UK Homelessness
A new research by a cross-party group has found that one in 50 Londoners are now homeless as living costs and rents soar.
The report by the group London Councils warned that the housing crisis is becoming “unmanageable” and called for emergency action from the UK government to help low-income families.
Official figures show that around 22 percent of people in the UK are living below the poverty line as they are getting by on less than 60 percent of the average household income. Anti-poverty campaigners are warning of a catastrophe.
