A Palestinian journalist residing in al-Quds has said that calm prevails in al-Quds, and that Israel lives an unprecedented fear as it was showered by Palestinian resistance missiles in retaliation to its aggression against Palestinians.

Annan Najib, a Palestinian Journalist from al-Quds told Press TV website that for the time being, things are quite at the al-Aqsa mosque and that people were preparing themselves to perform the Friday prayers.

This calm, according to Najib, comes as a result of the fact that illegal Israeli settlements were showered with Palestinian resistance missiles in retaliation for Israeli aggression against Palestinians.

The firing of retaliatory rockets from the direction of the coastal strip came in response to Israeli attacks on Palestinian worshipers inside the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied city of al-Quds, where hundreds of worshipers were violently evicted from the site and some 350 others arrested.

“There is so much fear among illegal Israeli settlers today, and they feel wrath towards the current far-right Israeli regime -especially the Israeli minister Itamar Ben Gvir- who has been leading the attacks on al-Aqsa mosque and encouraging settlers to desecrate the Holy place,” Palestinian Journalist from al-Quds Annan Najib told Press TV website.

“Israelis blame the current far-right regime for all the retaliation they see. This is the first time we see such fear among Israelis inside the occupied Palestine,” he said.

The analyst said that al-Quds city is still steadfast in face of Israeli aggression and the people of al-Quds and the worshipers at the al-Aqsa mosque refuse to leave its vicinity.

“Today, Israel has come to know that al-Quds is the bomb wick that can set not only Palestine, but the entire region on fire,” he said.

He added that since the Palestinian resistance launched its missiles on Israeli settlements in retaliation to the attacks on al-Aqsa mosque, the Israeli army seems to have retreated in its violence against the Palestinians in the vicinity of the Holy place.

A united front

According to Najib, the region lives a different reality today.

“There is unity among all the Palestinian and Arab resistance factions and groups, whether this is declared or remains behind closed doors. In Yemen, people care about Palestine, and in Palestine people care about Yemen, the same is the case of Lebanon, Tehran and other countries of the region,” he told Press TV website.

Najib pointed out that the people of Palestine feel the solidarity of the Arab world and its people, many of whom reject normalization despite the fact that their governments have inked deals with the Israeli regime.

Israeli lost its power of deterrence, and stands in fear today, unlike during the past, he concluded.
