The war in Ukraine is moving ahead with Ukraine saying it uses Western weapons to target Russian logistics and ammunition hubs.

Russia says residential neighborhoods in Donbas region are being shelled by long-range weapons. Former President Medvedev has called for recognition of Moscow’s sovereignty over Crimea region as Ukraine has threatened to target Crimea with West-supplied weapons.

As the consequences of this war, EU warned that Russia’s block on Ukraine grain could starve thousands and the International Energy Agency warns of “historic crisis” over looming gas crunch in Europe.

Press TV takes a closer look at these consequences in interview with Fred Weir, journalist and political commentator from Moscow and Mahmoud Refaat, president of The European Institute for International Law and International Relations from Stockholm.
