Marking Nakba Day

May 15th marks the Nakba Day or “Day of Catastrophe” for Palestinians. Thousands of people worldwide took to streets in show of solidarity with the Palestinians as the day marks 74th anniversary of creation of the Israeli regime which was carried out by forced expulsion of Palestinians.

Many historians have referred to Nakba Day as climax of ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. Press TV interviews Hafsa Kara-Mustapha journalist and Middle East expert from London and Amal Wahdan Palestinian human rights advocate from Ramallah to look at why international law continues to be broken by Israel through settlement building, home demolitions, and more importantly its killing of innocent Palestinians as in the case of assassinating Palestinian journalist Shireen Akleh.
