Barcelona have extended their winning streak to 7 matches in The Liga, as a stoppage time winner by Luuk de Jong, gave the Catalans a 3-2 win at Levante.
Levante took a deserved lead in the 52nd minute when captain Khose Luis Morales scored from the spot. Moments later Roger Marti had the chance to double the advantage from another penalty, only to see his effort saved by ter Stegen.
Barca quickly made amends, with Ousmane Dembele delivering a perfect cross for to head home the equalizer on the hour mark. Just 3 minutes later Gavi dribbled 2 levante defenders before teeing-up Pedri, to fire a first time shot into the net.
Levante then won a third penalty and Gonzalo Melero made no mistake to restore parity in the 83rd. But it all came down to substitute De Jong who nodded-in from a Jordi Alba cross to save all the points for Barca. The win lifted Xavi’s Men into 2nd in the standings on 60 points, 12 behind Real Madrid who have played one game more. Levante are 19th on 22 points.
