English Premier League: Kane scores twice as Tottenham rout Everton 5-0

Tottenham have shipped five goals past Everton to keep alive their hopes of a top 4 finish.

It took Tottenham 14 minutes to make the breakthrough, thanks to an own goal by Everton defender, Michael Keane.

The lead was doubled three minutes later with Harry Kane setting up Son Heung-min to drill his effort into the net through Jordan Pickford.

Kane then extended the lead to 3-0 with a calm finish from 20 yards out, with the goal being awarded after a VAR check.

A comfortable win turned into a rout, when Sergio Reguilon added a 4th, just a minute into the second half, before Spurs captain sent a beautiful volley into the far-corner, to send the home-crowd into frenzy.

Despite the win, Antonio Conte’s men remain 7th, level on 45 points with West Ham United, having played two games less.

Everton are one place and one point above the bottom three, leaving manager Frank Lampard with a huge task to ensure top-flight survival.
