  • Human-like robots are showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where the line between cool and slightly disturbing robots can be thin. From lifelike baby dolls to full-grown human-like robots are on the display. They not only write, cry, laugh and blink but some of them speak and react when you tell them something.

 

  • Colombians celebrate Carnival of Blacks and Whites, the largest festivity in the southwestern region of Colombia, Pasto. The carnival, full of vibrant colors and fun, livens up when people perform music too. Those in attendance even throw talcum powder and foam to add more doses of joy. More things to visit too. Colorful monuments and floats are brought to the streets. 

 

  • The Covid pandemic may have brought some changes to everyday life in Mexico but not to Christmas traditions. Like previous years, parents and children in the capital have turned out for what’s known as the final part of the festive season. That part sees children receive gifts from the three wise men also known as the three kings. The three wise men in fact are biblical legends said to have visited the baby Jesus after his birth. They are regular figures at Mexico’s New Year festivals. Children usually write letters to the three wise men to ask for what they like to have at the beginning of the New Year.
