The Spanish La Liga’s Valencia have fallen short of moving into the Top 4, after a 2-1 home loss against Espanyol.
Omar Alderete nodded-in the opener 5 minutes into the second half to give Valencia a deserved lead. Espanyol got the equalizer with 7 minutes remaining thanks to an impressive spot kick by Raul de Tomas.
The visitors completed the turn-around just 5 minutes later with Javi Puado guiding a diving header into the back of the net. With the win Espanyol moved up to 9th on 26 points, just two behind 8th-placed Valencia.
