NBA: Los Angeles Lakers fall to Phoenix Suns 108-90

Over the NBA news, the Phoenix Suns have dominated the Los Angeles Lakers in a 108-90 win, at the Staples Center.

The Lakers led by a point after the first quarter, but Phoenix recovered from a slow start to take a 54-52 lead at halftime. The Suns kept up the pressure in the third and outscored the Lakers 31-21. The Hosts trailed for the rest of the game and eventually lost the game to the visitors 108-90, to concede their third consecutive defeat.

Devin Booker had 24 points for the Suns, while LeBron James scored 34 points for the Lakers in the losing effort. Up next the Suns will host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday. And The Lakers will meet the San Antonio Spurs, on the same day.

Elsewhere in the NBA, the Miami Heat have eased past the Indiana Pacers 125-to-96, in Florida. The Heat were dominant throughout the game.

The Hosts who were playing without their star Jimmy Butler took the upper hand with a 33-21 win in the opener. They made up for Butler’s absence with their sharpshooting, heading to their locker room with a comfortable 23-point lead.

Then after the break, they extended their advantage to an unassailable 29-points which remained intact after a 27-all draw in the fourth. Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson scored 26 points each in Miami’s commanding victory. They will play the Pistons on Friday while the Pacers will head back home to host the Houston Rockets, on Thursday.
