NBA: Boston Celtics 130-108 Los Angeles Lakers
Over NBA news, in a clash between the 2 most prestigious teams in the NBA history, the Boston Celtics have routed the Los Angeles Lakers 130-108 at home.
The Lakers took the upper-hand after opening up an 8-point lead by the end of the first quarter. Despite their loss in the 2nd quarter, they went to their locker room with a 61-60 advantage.
The Celtics, however, upped their tempo after the break and went ahead by 11 points at the end of the 3rd. The hosts remained consistent in the final and added 11 points to grab the 22 points overall victory. Jason Tatum tallied 37 points for the Celtics, while Anthony Davis pocketed 31 points for Lakers in the losing effort.
In the meantime, the Brooklyn Nets have come from behind to edge past the Orlando Magic 115 to 113 at the Barclay Center.
The Magic took a shocking 41-25 lead in the opener. But, the Nets gradually took the lead after earning a 7-point lead at the end of the 3rd quarter.
However, the Magic showed some resilience in the final but, they could only cut the gap to 2 points. With the victory, the Nets bagged his 12th victory of the season and moved up to the top of the Eastern Conference.
