The hosts got on the scoresheet just 9 minutes into the match, when Lautaro Martinez swept the ball past Gianluigi Buffon from a clever pass by Nicolo Barella. But Juve got the equalizer when Cristiano Ronaldo converted a VAR awarded penalty in the 26th minute.
The Portuguese superstar scored the winner for the Old Lady after capitalizing on a defensive mistake as he curled the ball into the back of the net in the 37th minute.
With the result, Antonio Conte’s men will have the upper hand for the 2nd leg of the derby d'Italia as both teams will meet again next week in Turin.
