NBA Finals: Lakers 116-98 Heat in Game 1

Over NBA news, the Los Angeles Lakers have comfortably topped the injury-hit Miami Heat 116 to 96 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

The Lakers were the better side in the opener and narrowly beat the Heat with 4-point margin before routing the rivals 34 to 20 in the next quarter that led to their 65-48 advantage at the intermission.

The Lakers kept their ruthless performance after the break to widen the gap to 26 points after winning the 3rd quarter 28-19. Although, The Heat who did not have the services of Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic, won the final quarter but it was all in vain and the Lakers took a 1-nil lead in the NBA Finals.

Anthony Davis and LeBron James both tallied half of the points collected by the Lakers as they scored 34 and 25 respectively. Meanwhile on the other side, Jimmy Butler bagged 23 for the Heat. Game 2 will be held on Friday.
