Uganda Parliament suspends 25 MPs and minister

Fistfights erupted in parliament for the second day as MPs from the ruling party pushed for the bill to be introduced.

Uganda’s parliament speaker has suspended a minister and 25 opposition legislators after a brawl over a bill to scrap the presidential age limit. The controversial bill is largely seen as a piece of legislation seeking to allow incumbent President Yoweri Museveni to stay in power.
