Imagine swallowing a set of iron tongs just for a bet. Well, that’s exactly what a young Indian man has done.
27-year-old Bhanvrabhai Meghwal was having a bet with his friends who challenged him to swallow a pair of iron tongs.
Immediately after losing the bet, Meghwal swallowed the iron tongs, to prove he had the nerve.
But just moments later, the man fainted as the sharp metal tool got stuck in his food pipe, causing severe internal injuries.
He was raced to the hospital where it took doctors four hours to remove the metal tool. Luckily, Meghwal survived as he came into consciousness after 12 hours.
