A Saudi Arabian billionaire has called US presidential candidate Donald Trump a disgrace to America following his demand for a ban on Muslims entering the United States.
The Republican frontrunner on Monday called for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on."
"You are a disgrace not only to the GOP but to all America," Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal said on Friday on his Twitter account, addressing Trump and referring to the Republican Party.
"Withdraw from the US presidential race as you will never win," he added.
Within hours, Trump responded, calling the Saudi billionaire a “dopey” prince and blamed him for attempting to buy American politicians with “daddy’s money” in a tweet late Friday.
“Dopey Prince @Alwaleed_Talal wants to control our U.S. politicians with daddy’s money. Can’t do it when I get elected. #Trump2016,” Trump tweeted.

A new poll shows a majority of Americans are against plans proposed by Trump to bar Muslims from entering the country.
The survey, conducted by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal, finds that 57 percent of adults in the US oppose the idea.
The poll, released on Thursday, also indicates that 25 percent of respondents are in favor of the GOP frontrunner's views against Islam and Muslims, making one US citizen in four supporting Trump’s controversial notion.
However, Trump says he is not ashamed of his proposal for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States."
“Not at all,” Trump said on Tuesday in an interview with ABC News. “We have to do the right thing.”
Trump told ABC News on Tuesday that disallowing Muslims from entering the US would be a “short-term” measure until elected American leaders can “figure out what is going on.”
He said the United States should bar Muslims from entering the US as soon as possible.
