The British media have reported that two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of arson in connection with a major fire at Western Europe's largest mosque in South London on Saturday.
Reports say a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old have been held for questioning over the fire at the Baitul Futuh mosque in Morden.
London Fire Brigade sent ten engines to the scene around midday on Saturday and managed to get the fire under control.
One man in his 40s was taken to hospital after the building, which can hold up to 10,000 worshipers, went up in flames.
The blaze affected the ground and first floor of the mosque that opened in 2003.
It sent huge pillars of black smoke into the sky which were visible for several miles.
Only a handful of worshipers were inside the mosque when the blaze started and they were evacuated from the site.
Fire crews were at the site into the evening, damping down and dealing with the aftermath of the blaze.
