While ignoring the role of Daesh Takfiri terrorists in the current refugee crisis, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan points his finger at Russia and Iran over their support for the Syrian government.
Erdogan said in a recent televised interview with the CNN that were it not for Russian and Iranian support, the refugee crisis emanating from Syria would not have spun out of control.
“They (Iran and Russia) have never wanted an intervention in Syria, always supporting its ... leader [Bashar al-Assad],” Erdogan said, adding, “There are things that Russia and Iran must do...Those who try their hardest to keep this regime alive are responsible for this.”
In another outrageous claim, Erdogan said that the Syrian government and the Takfiri Daesh group are in cahoots with each other, describing Damascus as the biggest supporter of the group right now.
The remarks come as Europe is facing the biggest refugee crisis in decades, with thousands of asylum seekers, many of them fleeing the violence in the areas hit by the Daesh militancy, trying to reach the western countries in the continent.
Erdogan’s comments come as Turkey is itself accused of providing direct support to terrorist groups operating in Syria, fuelling the conflict, which has resulted in the death of nearly 240,000 and displacement of millions.

Even Turkish media have provided numerous reports on their governments support for the militants operating in Syria, including providing a safe passage to Daesh Takfiris and supplying arms and munitions to the militants.
According to estimates by the United Nations, more than four million people have fled the conflict in Syria, with at least half of them resettled on the Turkish soil.
Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Miqdad said last week that Turkey has been encouraging the Syrians on its soil to seek refuge in Europe despite claims by Ankara that it is bearing the huge costs of Syrian refugees.
"The...issue, some people may not be aware is that the Turkish government which declares to have a lot of these refugees is itself encouraging those refugees to go to Western Europe,” Miqdad said.
