Israel Rafah offensive

The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas says Israel is trying to block all efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip with its invasion on the southern city of Rafah. A member of the political bureau of Hamas made the comment, noting that the group’s delegation to the ceasefire talks in Egypt, has now returned to Qatar. Ezzat Al-Rashaq said the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is attempting to create excuses to avoid negotiations. He added that attacks on Rafah and its border crossing aim to obstruct the efforts of the mediators towards a truce in Gaza. Al-Rashaq once again confirmed Hamas’s commitment to a proposed truce deal put forward by Egyptian and Qatari mediators. Israel has rejected the proposal, arguing it did not meet its demands.

Yemen anti-Israel operations

Yemen’s Ansarullah leader says his country is ready to take the anti-Israeli operations in the international waters to the next level. Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said the next stage of operations would include ships of any company that is involved in supplying or transporting goods for Israel. He added the Yemeni army is determined in its stance and will not be affected by the enemies’ intimidations. Elsewhere in his remarks, the Ansarullah leader said the US talk of halting arms exports to Israel is only aimed at deceiving the public opinion. He stressed the U.S. has already provided the regime with large shipments of weapons that will suffice for any large-scale operation in Rafah. Al-Houthi stressed Israel's incursion of Rafah will not lead to any military achievements for the regime, as the southern Palestinian city is a civilian area and not a military zone.

Pro-Palestine protests

People have gathered in the Swedish city of Malmo to protest against the Israeli participation in the Eurovision competition as the regime pushes ahead with its genocidal war on Gaza. Protesters wearing keffiyeh and waving Palestinian flags flooded the streets of Malmo, demanding that the organizers of the European competition disqualify the Israeli competitor. More than 160-thousand people have signed a petition to ban Israel from Eurovision, while 20 artists boycotted the competition in protest. The demonstrators also called out the double standards of the European Broadcasting Union for admitting the Israeli artist while it banned Russia from the same event.
